Paganos, judíos y cristianos en los textos de Qumrán <Spanish> / Pagans, Jews, and Christians in the Texts from Qumran (1999) is a volume edited by Julio Trebolle Barrera.

Abstract

This edited volume provides a balance of the history of research on the Dead Sea Scrolls from the mid-1940s to the late 1990s. Some of the papers included within it were originally presented to a Seminar held at the Universitas Complutensis Madrid in 1997, whereas others were presented to a Summer Course at the Universidad Internacional Menéndez y Pelayo of Santander (Spain) that very same year. The book deals with such matters as the debate surrounding the publication of the Scrolls, the new technologies applied to their study, the biblical, halakhic and apocryphal literature from Qumran, and the beliefs and daily life of the Qumran sectarians. A few illustrations are appended by courtesy of the Museum of Israel. -- Carlos A. Segovia, Camilo José Cela University
