Nicola Avancini (M / Italy, 1611-1686), scholar

Nicola Avancini (1611-1686) was an Italian Catholic priest and scholar. Born in Tyrol, he entered the Jesuit order in 1677 and taught rhetoric and philosophy at Gratz and subsequently, theology at Vienna. His "Meditations on the Life and Doctrines of Jesus Christ" enjoyed great popularity.
