Overview

The small village of Nazareth in Galilee is mentioned solely in Christian sources as the hometown of Jesus.

New Testament

Gospel of Mark

Mark 1:9 -- In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan

Gospel of Matthew
