  • Rabbel I
    • Aretas I's successor, around 140 BCE
  • Obodas I, 96-87 BCE
    • Succeeded his father Aretas II
    • Defeated the Hasmoneans in 93 BCE in a battle on the Golan Hights
    • Died in battle against the Seleucids, but saved the kingdom from invasion
    • Was Worshiped as a god even after his death
  • Obodas III, 30-9 BCE
    • The Nabatean trade flourished under his rule.
    • Was buried at Oboda (Avdat), a city on the Negev renamed in his honor
  • Malichus II, 40 to 70 CE
    • Supported the Romans during the Jewish War.
    • Lost control of Damascus
    • Nabatean trade was weakened as the Romans diverted the perfume and spice cargos to Egypt
  • Rabbel II Soter, 70 to 106 CE
    • Succeeded his father Malichus II, when he was still a child.
    • At his death in 106 CE, the Nabatean kingdom was absorbed into the Roman Empire.
