Miguel Pérez Fernández (1938-) is a Spanish scholar. Catholic priest and emeritus professor of Hebrew Language and Literature at the University of Granada (Spain), Dept. of Semitic Studies. Born in Murcia (Spain) in 1938, he studied at the Gregorian University and the Pontificial Biblical Institute in Rome, as well as at the University of Barcelona (Spain). He has been director of the Spanish Biblical and Archaeological Institute of Jerusalem (Instituto Español Bíblico y Arqueológico de Jerusalén). He is currently Editor in Chief of the series Biblioteca Midrásica, published by Verbo Divino.
