Melchiorre Cesarotti (M / Italy, 1730-1808), translator

Melchiorre Cesarotti (1730-1808) was an Italian author, poet and translator of poetical works. Born in Padua, was professor of Greek and Hebrew at the local university. Acquired great fame for his translation of the Iliad.
