Marcello Venturoli (1915-2002) was an Italian novelist. Born in Rome [Italy] on 20 March 1915, Marcello Venturoli was an art historian, journalist, writer, essayist, poet, winner of the Viareggio Prize in 1951 and 1957. As a journalist he edited the pages of art criticism of the newspaper "Paese Sera", since its founding until 1962. In his work as a curator and promoter of art exhibits, Venturoli also published important monographs on leading figures in contemporary art. He died in Rome [Italy] on 22 October 2002.
