Manlio Simonetti (1926-2017) was an Italian scholar. A graduate from the University of Rome and a specialist in the early Church history, in 1959 he became Professor of Ancient Christian Literature at the University of Cagliari and in 1969 Professor of Church History at La Sapienza. He also published a translation of Josephus' Antiquitates.
