Ludovico Marracci (1612-1700) was an Italian scholar. A catholic priest and professor of Arabic at the University of La Sapienza at Rome, in 1671 he contributed to the translation of the Bible into Arabic, and in 1698 completed a new translation of the Quran into Latin.
