Leon Feinberg (1897-1969) was a Russian Jewish novelist. Leon Feinberg was born February 6, 1897, in the Province of Podolia, Ukraine (Russia). Leon went to school in Odessa and graduated at Moscow University in literature, languages, and philosophy. Started writing Russian poetry at the age of 12. Served three years as an officer in the Red Army. In 1920 made his way to Palestine and then emigrated to the United States. He continued writing in Russian, but also began writing in Yiddish. Feinberg passed away January 22, 1969.
