Las Tumbas de Jesús <Spanish> / The Tombs of Jesus (2007) is a book by Francisco García Bazán.

Abstract

In the past years a series of presumed “revelations” have arisen in an indiscriminate mixture of fiction and verified facts, theories and hypothesis, science and speculation, regarding the figure of Jesus of Nazareth – all supported by a huge advertising apparatus. The present volume analyzes these challenging issues, tries to shed new light upon the many doubts surrounding them, and proposes the necessity of a responsible approach to the whole matter. The historical data on cemeteries, tombs and burials in the first half of the 1st century; the narratives of Jesus’ burial; Jesus’ resurrection; and the sophisms concerning the ossuaries of Talpiot and Jesus’ claimed new tomb are some of the topics addressed in it. - Juan B.
