Abstract
This theological book on the "second coming of the Messiah" offered one of the first modern studies of Biblical apocalypticism.
Editions
After circulating in manuscript form in Spain and South America, the work was published posthumously in 1812 under the pseudonym of Juan Josafat Ben-Ezra. In 1819 the Spanish Inquisition ordered that the book be removed from circulation, but further editions were printed in Mexico, France, and England. In 1827 the work was translated into English.
