La Giuditta <Italian> / Judith (1693) is an oratorio by Alessandro Scarlatti (mus.) and Pietro Ottoboni (libr.).
Abstract
Based on the Book of Judith. In the 1690s Alessandro Scarlatti authored two different versions of the oratorio; see La Giuditta, "Cambridge version" (1697 Scarlatti / Ottoboni), oratorio. The librettist of the "Rome version", Card. Pietro Ottoboni, was the son of Prince Antonio Ottoboni, who would be the librettist of the "Cambridge version."
