Kitab al Khazari (commonly called Kuzari) <Arabic> (1140) is a manuscript work by Yehuda Halevi.

Abstract

The Book of the Khazars; or, The book of refutation and proof on behalf of the most despised religion presents in its introduction a conversation between a philosopher, a Christian and a Muslim concerning their respective beliefs. Then the work unfolds as a dialogue between a Jewish rabbi and the pagan king of the Khazars who was invited to learn the tenets of the Jewish religion.

Editions

The text widely circulated in manuscript form, and was translated into Hebrew and other languages.

The Hebrew translation by Judah ibn Tibbon was the first to be published in 1506. The Arabic original was published for the first time by Hartwig Hirschfeld in 1887.
