Kjeld Abell (1901-1961) was a Danish playwright, dramatist, stage designer, theatre and film director. Kjeld Abell was born in Ribe [Denmark] on August 25, 1901. Before and during the Nazi occupation of Denmark, his plays denounced the lack of freedom and the oppression. Died in Copenhagen, Denmark on March 5, 1961.
