Biography

Kalman and his younger brother Heniek (Hyman) were deported from Strzemieszyce Ghetto to several camps. They ended up in Buchenwald, along with other children from the same ghetto: the Finkelstajn brothers (Charles Finkel and Jacques Finkel) and the Rybstajn brothers (Jacques Ribons & Bernard Ribons).

Kalman studied physics at New York University and became professor at Hunter College.
