John Hudson (1662-1719) was a British classical scholar. Educated at The Queen's College, Oxford, he spent the rest of his life at the University as a Fellow of University College, Oxford in 1686, Bodley's librarian in 1701, and in 1711 principal of St Mary Hall, Oxford. At his death in 1719, he bequeathed to Anthony Hall the editing of his edition of Flavius Josephus, then nearly finished.
