Jesús López-Cobos (M / Spain, 1940-2018), conductor.
Born in Toro (Zamora), Spain, in his international career López-Cobos served as music director of prestigious orchestras in Germany, Spain, the United States, and Switzerland. In 1978 he conducted one of the finest video recordings of the opera Amahl by Gian Carlo Menotti, starring Robert Sapolsky and Teresa Stratas.
