Jakob Finci (M / Bosnia, 1943), Holocaust survivor

Biography

Jakob Finci were born October 1, 1943 at the Arbe Concentration camp to a Jewish family who sought refuge in Dalmatia. They were interned at Arbe where Jakob was born. Shortly after the camp was evacuated and the family survived in Partisan-controlled territory. Jakob studied at the University of Sarajevo and emerged during the Bosnian War as the leader of the Jewish community in Sarajevo and Bosnia.
