Jacob Weinberg (1879-1956) was a Russian-born Jewish American composer. Born in Odessa, Ukraine, completed law school at Moscow University and studied music at Moscow Conservatory of Music. Performed as a pianist in Russia and taught at the Odessa Conservatory of Music. In 1922 fled to Palestine and then to the United States where he taught for many years at the New York College of Music and Hunter College.
