Jacob Banach / Jack Bennett (M / Poland, 1929-1988), Holocaust survivor

Biography

Jacob Banach was born in Nowe Brzesko, Poland, to Samuel and Basia. He was the only of his family to survive.

He was in the Krakow Ghetto, Auschwitz, Buchenwald, and Theresienstadt, where he was liberated in May 1945.

He arrived in England with the Windermere Children in August 1945. Lived in England, married and had four daughters. Never spoke about his experiences.
