Biography

Heinz "Henry" Alexander was born 28 Mar 1927 at Neustadt a.d. Weinstr, Germany, to Arthur and Ernestine. He was a refugee in France at Chateau de La Guette. Survived in hiding in France at Brive-la-Gaillarde Ecole artisanal rural (Jan 1942) and Home d'enfants d'Izieu (Jul 15 - Aug 28, 1943). He was active in the French Resistance, smuggling false papers.

Died in New York in 2006.
