Biography
Hedi Friedman was born January 2, 1933 in Plesivac, Slovakia. She survived in hiding. Father and mother were deported and perished.
Hedi was in the Belgicka children’s home in Prague before being brought to England in August 1946 as part of the Belgicka Children. She was cared for at the Weir Courtney and Lingfield hostels.
She trained to be a nurse at the West London Hospital.
