Guillaume Postel

Guillaume Postel (1510-1581) was a French linguist, astronomer, and a pioneer in Second Temple Studies. A scholar of Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Arabic and Syriac, he was part of the international movement of so-called Christian Kabbalists, who saw in the Jewish Kabbalah and in Classical Hermetic texts a source of pre-Christian wisdom.
