Giovanni Claudio Pasquini (1695-1763) is an Italian librettist. Born and raised in Siena. After a few years in Rome, in 1725 moved to the Imperial Court in Vienna, Austria as Italian teacher and court poet. After the death of Carl VI, moved to Dresden, Germany. In 1749 returned to Siena, where he died in 1763.
