Five Men: Character Studies from the Roman Empire (1936) is a book by Martin Percival Charlesworth.

Abstract

"My purpose has been ... to set before the reader certain types of people, their life and their doings, and the way in which they fitted into the scheme of the Roman empire. I have chosen real people to illustrate the types, save for the merchant, which is a composite picture" (Preface). Includes portraits of Herod Agrippa I, and Josephus.
