Joe Kelly, the leader of a gang called Big Kelly's, and the young man on whom Annie Rooney (Mary Pickford) has a crush, is falsely accused of shooting Annie Rooney's father. <BoyActors>

The tenements are home to an international community, including the friends and family of a tough young ragamuffin named Annie Rooney, but their neighborhood is threatened by a dangerous street gang.

A tough slum girl faces a crisis of the heart when the boy she loves is accused of shooting her cop father. Her brother stalks the accused slayer and finally shoots him down in the street. Annie rushes to the hospital and offers her blood for a life-saving transfusion, although she thinks she will die.
