Randolfo Pacciardi (1899–1991) - Politician (Italian Republican Party)

Born in Gavorrano (Grosseto, Tuscany), Pacciardi joined the Italian Republican Party in 1915. A staunch anti-fascist, he fled from Italy in 1926 to Switzerland. He was then forced to move to France in 1933. He fought in Spain as leader of the Garibaldi Battalion (later Garibaldi Brigade).

I 1938 he visited the United States and moved there in 1941. He joined the Mazzini Society.

He returned to Italy in June 1944, after the liberation of Rome. He served in the De Gasperi cabinet and contnued its political activities in Italy. Died in Rome.
