Giacomo Rimini (1887-1952), opera singer.

Born and raised in Verona (Italy) to a mixed Jewish-Catholic family, Giacomo Rimini studied at the Verona Music Conservatory and began his operatic career in Italy in his early twenties. In 1961 he moved with his wife (Polish-Jewish singer Rosa Raisa) to Chicago, Illinois where they would both establish a long association with the Chicago City Opera Company, the Chicago Civic Opera, and the Ravinia Festival. Died in Chicago, IL.
