Alberto Angelo Rotta (Milan, 1872 - Vaticano, 1965) - Nuncio, active in Turkey (1925-1930), and Hungary (1930-1945).
As the Apostolic Nuncio in Budapest at the end of World War II, he was involved in the rescue of the Jews of Budapest from the Nazi Holocaust. He is a significant figure in Catholic resistance to Nazism. He was recognized as Righteous among the Nations by Yad Vashem in 1997.
