Cstanzo Beschi (Castiglione delle Stiviere, Mantua, Italy, 1680 - Cochin, India, 1747) - Jesuit priest, missionary, active in India (1711-1747).

Inspired by what was done in China, Beschi adopted the native Tamilians' lifestyle in his life and in his missionary work. Compiled the first Tamil lexicon - a Tamil-Latin dictionary.
