Fidès Devriès

Fidès Devriès (1852-1941) was a French opera singer. Born in New Orleans in a family of operatic singers of Dutch descent, she studied and made her debut in France in 1868. She remained active mostly in France, occasionally touring in other European countries. In 1884 she was Salome in the Paris premiere of the revised, 4-act version of Massenet's Hérodiade.
