Biography
Born to the Silberstein family in Réalmont, while in hiding. Prior to her birth the family had been forced to wander, until settling in Réalmont. Her parents, residents of Paris, had been relocated to Vichy and Marseille by order of the National Trade Bank, her father’s employer. Following his firing, and after the birth of her older sister in 1942, the parents found refuge in Réalmont, where they befriended the Boulade and Cahours families. These families provided the Silbersteins with food and hiding throughout the war. After the war the father returned to his former employment in Paris. The mother and two daughters joined him after one year. The Boulade and Cahours families were recognized by Yad Vashem as Righteous Among the Nations. She is a graduate of the Sorbonne and the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, and lives in Paris. Her works have been displayed in exhibitions in in France and throughout Europe.
