Epicharis <German> (1685) is a play by Daniel Casper von Lohenstein.

Abstract

According to Tacitus, Epicharis was an ancient Roman freedwoman and a leading member of the Pisonian conspiracy against the emperor Nero. She committed suicide in order not to reveal under torture the name of the accomplices.
