Die Christuspartei in der korinthischen Gemeinde <German> / The Christ Party in the Corinthian Church (1831) is an essay by Ferdinand Christian Baur.

Abstract

The Tübingen critic here moves the study of Paulinism in a new direction by advancing the opinion that Paul developed his system of thought in complete opposition to that of the primitive Christian community. Baur divides early Christianity into two opposed, divergent parties - the Petrine and the Pauline. Only due to the common enemy of Gnosticism would these two parties come together, compromising on both sides, in order to form a single unified Church.
