Abstract

Collection of essays on the development (historical and theological) of ancient Jewish messianism, from the time of David to the Jewish War. Includes an analysis of "canonical" and "apocryphal" literature from the Second Temple period (OT Pseudepigrapha and Dead Sea Scrolls), notably, Book of the Watchers, Daniel, Jubilees, Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs, Psalms of Solomon, Sybilline Oracles, and Parables of Enoch.
