De Arabische Alkoran (1616) is the Dutch edition of Alcoranus Mahometicus = L'Alcorano di Maometto (The Alquran of Muhammad / 1616 Arrivabene / Schweigger), book (German ed.). Translated from the German.

Abstract

The 1616 book by Salomon Schweigger was translated from German into Dutch in 1641.

The first Dutch translation of the Qur'an was then based on the German translation by Salomon Schweigger of the Italian translation by Andrea Arrivabene of the Latin version by Robert of Ketton.
