David Kossoff (1919-2005) was a Jewish British novelist. The son of Jewish-Russian immigrants, he became a successful actor in British television and cinema. As a Christian, he applied his story telling skill to Biblical preaching, becoming popular in the 1960 for his simple and humorous style. He then authored several books based on his monologues. After Bible Stories (1968) from the Old Testament, he published four volumes devoted to Jesus and New Testament times.
