Contra Legem Sarracenorum (commonly known as Confutatio Alcorani) <Latin> / Confutation of the Qur'an (1300) is a manuscript work by Riccoldo da Monte di Croce.

Abstract

An apologetical and polemical work against Islam, written by an Italian Dominican monk in Baghdad during his travels in the region.

Editions

The text widely circulated in manuscript form. It was first published in Seville, 1500, and then into German (Verlegung des Alcoran) by Martin Luther in 1542. The Latin text was included by Bibliander in his 1543 edition of the Qur'an.
