Charles Zeuner (1795-1857) was a German American composer. Born in Eisleben, Saxony, Germany, arrived in the United States around 1830 and settled in Boston, where he served briefly as president of the Handel and Haydn Society in 1838-39. He then moved to Philadelphia organist for St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and then Arch Street Presbyterian Church. His oratorio The Feast of Tabernacles (1832) was one of the first oratorios composed and performed in the United States.
