Charles Aubertin (1825-1908) was a French scholar.

Biography

Charles Aubertin was a French publicist and teacher. Born in Saint Dizier (Haute-Marne) on December 24, 1825, he was a student at the École Normale in 1845. He held various chairs of rhetoric in the provinces, and in 1857 obtained the degree of Doctor of Humane Letters. Lecturer at the École Normale, he was then rector of the academies of Clermont (1872) and Poitiers (1874). He was elected correspondent of the Academy of Moral and Political Science on 11 April 1874.
