In 1940, Australian writer Dulcie Deamer published yet another historical novel dealing with the persecution of early Christians, in which she attempted to give women a central role in the unfolding events.

In 1947 Minerva Teichert completed the murals at the Manti Utah Temple describing the history of salvation of humankind according to the Mormon perspective. The murals include scenes from ancient Jewish history.
