The Septuagint is the ancient translation of the Hebrew Bible into Greek, with additions and modifications.

Overview

Major editions

The editio princeps of the Septuagint was printed in the Complutensian Polyglot (Madrid 1514-17, but distributed only in 1520). The Aldine edition, produced independently in Venice [Italy], followed but was actually the first to appear in 1518.
