Overview

The ancient Latin version of Josephus' Works was the first to be printed. The editio princeps appeared in 1470 in Augsburg by John Schlusser, 40 years before the publication of the Hegesippus (1510) and more than 70 years before the publication of the original Greek text (1544).

Editions of the Latin text continued to be published regularly until 1617, then more sporadically in Greek-Latin editions.
