Joseph ben Camei (Josephus ben Camydus) was the Jewish High Priest, 44-46 CE, under Roman Governor Fadus and Emperor Claudius.

Overview

Joseph ben Camei was appointed by Herod of Chalcis after the death of king Herod Agrippa I. He succeeded Jonathan ben Ananus of the House of Annas and served from 44 to 46 CE under the Roman Governor Fadus and Emperor Claudius.

In 46 he was succeeded by Ananias ben Nebedaeus.
