John at Ephesus refers to a series of events in the Life of John.
Overview
According to later Christian traditions, upon the death of Domitian John returned to Ephesus in 97, after being banished into the isle of Patmos. At his arrival at Ephesus, John made the miracle of the Raising of Drusiana. At Ephesus John also wrote his gospel and died in peace, in the third year of Trajan (as seems to be gathered from Eusebius's chronicle), that is, the year 100. According to Epiphanius, the saint was then about ninety-four years old, and was buried on a mountain outside the town.
