Ishmael ben Phiabi was the Jewish High Priest, 15-16 CE, under under Roman Governor Gratus, and Emperor Tiberius.

Overview

Ishmael ben Phiabi was appointed High Priest in 15 CE by the Roman Governor Gratus, succeeding Annas.

One year later, the House of Annas regained the High Priesthood with Eleazar ben Ananus, son of Annas.
