Eleazar ben Boethus was the Jewish High Priest, 5-3 BCE, under Herod Archelaus.

Overview

Eleazar ben Boethus was appointed High Priest in 5 BCE by Herod Archelaus, succeeding another member of the House of Boethus, Joazar ben Boethus.

Eleazar was eventually replaced by Joshua ben Sie in 3 BCE.
