Eleazar ben Ananus, of the House of Annas, was the Jewish High Priest, 16-17 CE, under under Roman Governor Gratus, and Emperor Tiberius.

Overview

Eleazar ben Ananus was appointed High Priest in 16 CE by the Roman Governor Gratus, succeeding Ishmael ben Phiabi.

One year later, he was succeeded with Simon ben Camith.
