1540 - The translation of the NT by Oddur Gottskalksson was the first book ever published in Icelandic (Roskilde, Denmark, 1840).

1584 -- First translation of the entire Bible

1841 - New Translation by Petur Petursson (revised in 1863)

2007 - New edition by the Icelandic Biblical Society
